We are researchers from Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology), Wageningen University, and ETH Zurich, who are currently conducting research on the conditions that influence the implementation of wastewater reuse projects. For this purpose, we developed a survey, hoping to compile a set of international examples and compare them to understand the impact of various conditions on such projects in different country contexts. If you have conducted research on this topic and have knowledge on specifc cases, we would like to ask you to fill out our survey.
It takes 10-15 minutes to complete and you can find the survey here: https://wur.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3DWr4F49DNrQtAq
Participants are asked to tell us about a wastewater reuse ‘project’, which includes questions about the location, the project itself and some general questions about the implementation conditions (focus on governance aspects, financing, social acceptance etc.). What we mean by wastewater reuse is an example of grey or black wastewater reuse where water is treated and recycled to make it suitable for other purposes. Examples might be (but are not limited to) residential grey water systems, such as technology installed in homes or apartments to collect and treat grey water; a community scale project that collects greywater from multiple households and treats it for us in public gardens or communal area; a decentralised treatment system that treats blackwater on-site for reuse, or a large scale municipal treatment facilities that involves advanced treatment methods.
If you have any concerns or question, please feel free to reach out to me: katrin.pakizer@eawag.ch
We would greatly appreciate your support!
Best wishes,
Dr. Katrin Pakizer ( and Dr. Kirsty Holstead, Prof. Nicolar Jager, Prof. Eva Lieberherr, Prof. Manuel Fischer)
