𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞
I’m last in line of 3 siblings, and my parents had me somewhat late. I suppose I was an afterthought, but a cute one to begin with. At least, my mom once told me that they never regretted having me.
Why she felt the need to say that might be more related to my youth than to my childhood. As a young adult, all cuteness had disappeared. I didn’t care about much and certainly not traditions, rules and regulations, my own future.
But slowly something changed. I met my girlfriend (still us after 37 years). Later we had our sons. My future became their future. Maturing shifted my perspective.
At some point, I guess I figured out that caring a great deal was a much more meaningful way to live life than not giving a ****.
Water became my thing. It still is. I care deeply about how water moves in homes, keeping us warm, clean, hydrated, sanitized. I care deeply about how we can and should save water. And about how we must adapt to climate-related water challenges such as flooding and drought. Water resilience is where we must be heading, and water efficiency is the way.
Having been with GRUNDFOS for nearly three decades, water continues to be the area in which I want to show some attitude. Move the needle. Increase awareness about this most precious resource that so many of us simply take for granted.
