International Scientific Agriculture Symposium – AGROSYM , since 2010, is an annual platform for international scientific discussion on agriculture, food, rural development, natural resources management and forestry. It is a good place for exchanging of ideas, strengthening existing and creating new academic networks, and to foster dialogue between the academia, public institutions, the private sector and civil society organizations on the recent global and regional trends. We are kindly informing you that the 6th AGROSYM 2015 made an important contribution to the agriculture practice in different areas. During the four-day Symposium (15-18 October 2015), approximately 750 papers were presented to more than 800 participants representing 71 world countries. www.agrosym.rs.ba AGROSYM is covering the following thematic areas: Plant production and protection, food safety, organic agriculture, environment protection and natural resources management, animal husbandry, rural development, agro-economy, forestry and agroforestry. Direct link between the AGROSYM and the Water Network Colleagues is the AGROSYM Section 4, coordinated by Dr. Sc. Velibor Spalevic: Environment protection and natural resources management. In October 2016, scholars from the countries of all over the world will discuss the issues on sustainable watershed management, soil and water conservation; water and land resources management; irrigation and drainage; soil erosion; sediment transport; control works in the torrential drainage basins; soil-water-plant-atmosphere continuum; wastewater treatment systems; application of computer graphic methods in this area; the sustainable use and modeling; policies related to the water resources management. Multidisciplinary results reported during the AGROSYM 2016 will contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and good practices to all: farmers, extension agents, researchers, policy makers, as well as the general public. Participation of the Water Network scholars may bring a new quality to this good international event conveying the new innovative solutions, addressing current European and Global water challenges and in that way advancing existing solutions.
