Actually, Government of Uttar Pradesh has started working proactively on building climate resilience and strengthening rural economy. Taking a cue from the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s judgement on 6th April, 2024 about Citizen’s right against adverse effects of climate change part of fundamental rights, as right to life and equality, expanding the scope of Articles 14 and 21, Government of UP held a summit in association with Lucknow Management Authority to discuss the case study of Moradabad, wherein various environmental parameters have been restored through the intervention of a Climate Tech Startup from Ghaziabad.
Vaidic Srijan LLP, through their invention of Cownomics® technology, has impacted the quality of ground Water, Soil, Water quality, Air quality, Water & Vector borne diseases as well as the native biodiversity of the city. LMA has organized an inter-departmental detailed brain-storming session with the startup to explore the possibilities of building climate resilience in all the cities and towns of the state and making a robust strategy and roadmap.
Another key aspect to be discussed during the session is to rebuild the rural economy through agriculture and allied sectors, which making the farm sector go, disease, pests and weather resilient, as well as sustainable, chemical free, antibiotic free and profitable for the farmers. The outcome of the meeting was surely very positive. We’ll soon see some wonderful work on the ground after this extensive brain-storming.
