The "Dutyion technology" could be very useful for areas where there is water scarcity and the water is saline. As saline groundwater reservoirs are not fit for direct irrigation unless properly treated with gypsum and other salt soluble chemicals. This new technology looks promising but would be nice to read some case study where the tech is implemented.
