Dr. Saima Siddiqui  is Professor in Centre for Integrated Mountain Research, University of the Punjab Lahore Pakistan from 3rd May 2023 till date. She was Associate Professor in CIMR from 26th May 2021 to 2nd May 2023. From September 2005 to May 2013 she served as Research Officer/Lecturer in the Center for Integrated Mountain Research (CIMR), Punjab University. In June 2013 she was appointed as Assistant Professor in Department of Geography, University of the Punjab Lahore Pakistan. From March 2020 to May 2021 she served as Associate Professor in Department of Geography. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Earth System Sciences (ESS): Environment, Resources and Cultural Heritage from the Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. The title of her Ph.D. dissertation is “Remote Sensing Analysis of Neotectonic Deformation from Drainage Network in Emilia Romagna Apennines, northern Italy”. During her Ph.D. research she had dynamically participated in a number of research seminars, training courses, teaching activities of the ESS doctorate school, national and international conferences and research excursions. She has won two international awards, i.e. IAG/AIG Young Geomorphologist award in 2009, from International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG) in Australia and Giannino Bassetti Foundation award in 2012, in Italy. She was member of organizing committee of 3rd AIGeo National Conference held in September 13-18, 2009 in Modena, Italy. She organized the first ever Convocation of Department of Geography in March, 2020. Besides her teaching activities to the degree courses, she is also involved in various research activities and is a member of several National and International Scientific Associations. She is expert in physical and environmental geography, tectonic geomorphology, geomorphological and seismic hazards assessment, Disaster Management and application of GIS and Remote Sensing techniques in Earth Surface and Landform Processes.
