What to talk of the challenges of sustaining simplistic solutions, under a city sanitation plan there was demand from one city commissioner to provide 'vacuum sewers' in a difficult slum locality, notwithstanding the technological complexities, higher capex and opex, etc. Well intentioned sustainability and affordability arguments are quite a challenge to put across !
