It is a man made chemical as are many herbicides and pesticides. Unfortunately Atrazine is testing very high in some Aquifers as is Ammonia NITROGEN as N. We have overlooked the non-biological chemicals, without even understanding the formulas or health implications once they have been introduced into our environment. Now that Anhydrous Ammonia Nitrogen fertilizer is in our Source Water, we can not Chlorinate for the Bacteria from Biological fertilizer like CAFO fertilizer without causing deadly Trihalomethanes.
