12 World Leaders Issue Clarion Call for Accelerated Action on Water
Published on by Engr.Chinenye Justin Nwaogwugwu., MANAGING DIRECTOR/FOUNDER: Macjames Global Resources Ltd and Macjames Ikiomoye Technologies Ltd in Government
"Water covers 71% of the Earth's surface. But only 0.5% of that is readily available and safe for human consumption. Today, 2 in 5 people are affected by water scarcity. The heads of state on the High Level Panel on Water are urging a new approach to rethinking how we understand, value and manage water as a precious resource. Here is an open letter from them: http://wrld.bg/yCiF30iWE6z. Please share this urgent call for action!" - Jim Kim (President at The World Bank)

The clarion call for accelerated action on water, needs to be further issued, the call echoed at the highest audible sound posiible and so far measured to acted up on by all leaders residing in each corner of the globe before it is too late; as good and moving words alone are not enough. Joining hands and efforts is very much requiered to solve the many facated problems of water; availing it where it is scarcely available, and wise and safe use, where it is available to some how.

I am a practicing Water Engineer of 25-years (spanning Cleaner Production, Water Treatment & Management) but it is my time with www.baleen.com (of almost 20-Years) that has repeatedly demonstrated that the way WE treat water (literally in all understandings of the word) is wrong!
WE produce waste water by adding waste to water – Simple logic demands we separate the waste first (to realise water for alternate re-use), yet traditional practice has governed otherwise.
Consequently, WE waste water rather than re-use water.
It is worth noting, traditional practice compromises water quality by degradation of constituent waste, rather than targeting its separation – Ridiculous! Waste has value, and need not be degraded together with water...
It has taken many years to amass a pioneering client-following spanning the entire water industry that recognises/understands such claims, without being side-tracked by widespread opinion that consumable-energy intensive waste water treatment is necessary.
Contrastingly, Baleen's greatest claim to testimony irrespective of industry-application is Return on Investment; financial benefits spanning resource recovery, compliance, energy-consumable-labour savings are abound.
