Legionellosis: the most significant waterborne disease in US, and biofilm is the root of the problem

The National Science Foundation (NSF) indicates biofilm as the root of Legionellosis, that accounts for thousands of hospital admissions and many deaths in the U.S. only.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirm that biofilm protects Legionella from disinfectant, provides food and shelter to germs.
