Is it not too late to go back to "PIT LATRINES" and modernise the toilet to collect Urine and excreta separately rather than carry on with status quo of WC. When water is becoming scarce, time may come when water borne flushing and transport of sewerage may have to be stopped....? All one may require is specially designed "Receivers" for urinating into and Plastic chutes for defecating into.. if urine could be processed and if human excreta in conjunction with other organics can yield Biogas...
