@All, Interesting that based upon various USEPA, USGS and State reports, water quality is improving in many areas. There are certainly more and better-run wastewater treatment plants, there is more nutrient removal than ever before. I suppose the area of weakness is nonpoint source, or diffuse, pollution where nutrients are enriching the waterways. There are also PPCs, EDCs, antibiotics, etc., which are not being completely removed. But to predict the declension of water quality is a huge unpredictable prediction. In other words, given the complexity of pollution sources and control, the ability to predict out long periods of time are very, very poor.
