Very pertinent problem that require immediate attention among the managers of wastewater stream and health in understanding the linkage of antibiotic resistance to drugs being displayed among the patients due to the causes of antibiotics being leached out into the fields and transmitted through foodchain into humans. Unless, we tackle this issue of letting out raw sewage for urban agriculture/ farming and the capacity of sewage treatment plants to remove the antibiotics from the wastewater treated, the problem will transform itself into a multi-billion dollar disaster due to antibiotic resistance one day.
