Shifting Freshwater Around the Globe Concerns Scientists
Published on by Frani Halperin, Executive Producer at H2O Media, Ltd in Academic
A new study is showing that freshwater around the planet is being redistributed —wet areas are getting wetter and dry areas are getting drier. This shift, attributed to overpumping of groundwater, climate change, and other factors, could lead to food insecurity and climate refugees.

A Time for Change - System Change. Draining the Land of scarce water, only to waste to Nature's Waterways to damage & destroy Life-essential ecosystems is illogical. Ending Marine Pollution is a necessary Climate Action: Returning "fit-for-purpose" water to land for horticulture preserves Nature's water cycle and combats Climate Change. Onshore ecosystems are robustly efficient for water recycling, while Offshore & GroundWater ecosystems are NOT! Visit www.baleen.com & www.twitter.com/ObstYuri for supporting information.

Its high time concerned authorities around the world impose mandatory regulations to limit the ground water pumping. Mostly underground water is used to irrigate crops. Farmers must be encouraged to use more recycled water than underground water.

In continuation will like to add that with food insecurity . climate refugees.also earthquake prone areas will havecdrastic after effects in drier urban areas.as explained in my earlier post. Dear Readers.
One aspect of ground water resources reducing and soil moisture drying up and hence making ground drier and more solid.
In the event of seismic e quakes , previously there was moisture in soil to cushion the shocks and tremors.
Now thecshocks will be more pronounced and hence ground with high-rise buildings will be more prone to greater shock effects..
This becomes a cause for greater concern. Corrctive action is possible to reduce ground water from these aquifers.
Also RWH Rain harvesting in deficient aquifers oughtcto be carried out.
Above is issued in the interest of communities at e quake pronrcareas where ground water has drastically reduced like forcexample around Delhi region in India NCR areas.. w wshs.. Prof Ajit Seshadri Vels University. Chennai INDIA ..
