Dear Readers. One aspect of ground water resources reducing and soil moisture drying up and hence making ground drier and more solid. In the event of seismic e quakes , previously there was moisture in soil to cushion the shocks and tremors.  Now thecshocks will be more pronounced and hence ground with high-rise buildings will be more prone to greater shock effects..  This becomes a cause for greater concern. Corrctive action is possible to reduce ground water from these aquifers. Also RWH Rain harvesting in deficient aquifers oughtcto be carried out.
