The U. N. and the World Water Development Report 2019 are to be commended in building awareness concerning the urgent need of, Leaving No One Behind when it comes to water and sanitation. But where is the plan as to how this will be done? Certainly this is possible but is it being left up to businesses that say they have sustainable technologies but are out for big profits? Understand, there’s no big profit in getting safe water to the poor, using the prevalent water treatment! Leaving no one behind and talking about eradicating poverty means that water technologies need to be truly sustainable: low cost and user-friendly. But these technologies need to be sought out and verified. In getting safe drinking water to the poor let’s be sure that the glass is half full and not half empty.
