The definitive, single cause of the problem is simple-- Unlimited and uncontrolled human population growth.The absolute, sustainable maximum number of human creatures that Earth can accommodate = 3.5 billion. That is assuming that all of the rest of the floral/ faunal species and the physical dynamic, Earth cycles are in their healthy, natural evolutionary processes. At 3.5 billion (max.) there would be plenty of self sustaining clean, safe water, air, soil, forests, food and wildlife. But, the insatiable, exponentially increasing human creature has already desecrated most of those species and cycles with their "greed for the sake of greed" abandon. There is now no necessity for trying to now solve the myriads of the "Life or Death" crises that we now face. If we "magically" solve these crises, With the present human mentality, it will just make room for more and more humans "ad infinitum" GOOD LUCK, Al White
