Proposed Novato solar farm divides environmental groups

A project that would seemingly be embraced by Marin's environmental community — a solar farm that could power 200 local homes — has instead divided environmentalists.

Some environmental advocates say the proposed solar project, at the Green Point Nursery just outside Novato, is exactly what the county needs as it looks to reduce its ecological footprint. But other groups say there could be adverse environmental consequences and further study and regulation are needed.

  1. Barbara Salzman says that "If it rains and the rain runs off the solar panels, the rain might create channels.". But i think when they are going construct such a ambitious solar panel they ill take god care of maintenance and the project really sounds good to me.
