Published on by in Academic

Does someone know about a perfect or really good real example about integral management of rainwater harvesting to improve the resilience of a big city?

I mean, a conceptual process of management with governance, legal framework, regulations... and much more....

  1. Rainwater harvesting through roof top for ground water recharge especially in alluvial area can reduce the problem to large extent. Technology is available. It is safe and economical. But for runoff from the road side quality is the constraint. But it can be reduce by maintaining grass along the road.

  2. A Decentralized Solution: Rainwater Harvesting Utility

This concept offers a new source of water that is a revenue source for utilities, stormwater management BMP and allows those that cannot afford the upfront  costs of a rainwater harvesting system the ability to have one.

  3. Probably not relevant but the use of attenuation tank systems to alleviate any potential flood damage to watercourses is well documented and regulated in England. But I think you're thinking more of recycling as opposed to environmental protection?
