Ahmed Abdilahi, Civil/ Water Engineer Part Time at Infraconsultancy

Ahmed has earned Msc degree in Engineering Management and Bsc degree of civil Engineering from Gollis University. He has over 13 years of Water supply and structural engineering experience. he is the founder of infra consultancy,  Founder KECO Engineering Services, member of Somaliland Civil Engineering Association as well as Somaliland Engineers Association.

Early 2018 Mr Ahmed worked as Civil/Structural with BAMECO where he designed and drafted more than 80 (Eighty) projects, consisting both Residential and commercial building including Darasalam Bank Headquarters, Eman Center and Badar University.

From 2012 to 2013, Ahmed was working with IOM/TIS (quick Impact) program as an Engineer/Grant

Assistant, where he directed, managed/supervised More than 28 construction supervisors, assessed and

developed project proposals from beginning to end by delegating tasks to appropriate personnel. The

Project included design and preparation of Bidding documents for the supply and construction of four

Elevated steel water Tanks supplied from UK including 3km of distribution Pipes. During this time Ahmed has the privilege to design and construct the Somaliland Ministry of foreign affairs Headquarters including 35 buildings for the ministry of finance inland revenue.

From 2013 To 2018, Ahmed worked with UNHABITAT as a National Engineer for the design and supervision of Hargeisa urban water supply project, where he designed and supervised the construction of New Geed-deeble Pumping station with 10Tone gantry cranes, sheltering five 11kva electrical generators.

 During this time Ahmed has also designed and drafted for supply and installation of 6KM DN250 &DN400 HDPE Pipes including all the valve chambers and 3 PUMP houses.

From 2018 To 2021, he was working with CES Consulting Engineers Salzgitter GmbH for the design and supervision of 72 water catchment structures under the sustainable land management programme funded by the BMZ. This project included Earth dams, Sand Dams and Subsurface Dams including construction of 1Million meters of Soil Bunds.

Mr Ahmed is also a member of  SOCEDO (Somaliland civil engineering development organization)

Technical drawing lecturer at Gollis University and have produced standardized wash design documentations (shallow and deep wells) for the ministry of public works.

He has also worked with DANIDA (Danish international development Agency) as a Construction advisor to DANIDA Office for the construction security barricades and Hescos

Ahmed can communicate well in English, French, Arabic, and Somali I am also familiar with the UN

procurement and USAID grants, FIDIC Red book, Prince2 for project management and scenario based

planning.
