About The Opportunity
Are you an innovative Team Leader, who is looking to join a dynamic team within the water industry, with the opportunity to work with professionals who come from diverse backgrounds. We have a passion for water, collaboration, strategic thinking, enabling our teams and fostering a learning environment within our branch.
On joining Water Services, you will lead and empower the dynamic Technical Support Team to deliver superior technical support, as a part of the broader Process & Asset Management function of the Water Services Branch, ensuring sustainable infrastructure for today and tomorrow.
Your stakeholder skills will be put to good use, building strong networks across Council and into the community to ensure that Technical Support Team's achievements are aligned with our community expectations, of a sustainable future.
About You
- Trade Certificate
- Working knowledge of the Local Government Act, the Work Health and Safety Act, Regulations, Advisory Standards and Codes of Practice, the Electricity Act, the Electrical Safety Act, the Water Act and the Environmental Protection Act
- Working knowledge of the principles of water and wastewater pumping and treatment
- Proven success in leading teams, including delegation and people management, with a proven track record of safety management & a strong awareness of and commitment to a safe working culture
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in team management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop & maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholder
- Possession of a current Class ‘C’ Drivers Licence is essential
- A Degree / Diploma in engineering will be highly regarded
- Diploma in Leadership is desirable
