Under limited supervision, performs a variety of responsible skilled work in the care, maintenance, and construction of water distribution systems; asphalt and concrete repairs; supervises employees; and performs related duties as assigned.

$26.22 Hourly - Pay grade 54

Qualifications 
     
   

High school diploma or GED is required and five (5) years of experience performing work necessary to maintain a water distribution system; or two (2) years as a Water Distribution Systems Technician II is required, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. One (1) year of lead work or supervisory experience is required. Florida Department of Environmental Protection Level 2 Water Distribution license is required.

A valid Florida Class B Commercial driver’s license is required or the ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of employment. A valid driver’s license from any state or a State of Florida Class E driver’s license is required.

Education Requirements: To be considered valid (or verified) for position qualification purposes, and consistent with City Hiring Policy 4-5, a High School, GED or equivalent diploma, and all higher education degrees or certifications must have been issued by:
