The Sustainability Services team sits within Strategic & Operational Risk which is part of the Risk Advisory business at Deloitte Switzerland. As a Manager or Senior Manager, you will have responsibility for leveraging your proven and in-depth knowledge of future trends, climate change, decarbonisation and circular economy strategies to lead senior client stakeholder meetings. Your understanding of Sustainability related technology landscape and technical capabilities to lead technology implementations (and advise on data collection, analysis, verification, and visualizations, including setting, communicating, and tracking performance metrics) will ensure great impact. Overall, you will be supporting climate risk and circular economy go-to-market initiatives and growing Deloitte’s sustainability proposition.
How you can make an impact
- Advising clients on setting risk appetite and strategic trajectories in order to manage climate-related risks across physical and transition risks and supporting our clients to become leaders in this area
- Analysing physical and transitional climate risks in alignment with the TCFD framework
- Conducting technical research on a broad range of climate hazards, risks, and risk mitigation strategies as well as environmental and sustainability topics including, but not limited to; sustainable building technologies, energy and water efficiency, climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental remediation technologies, and analytical methods
- Educating and advising both internal and external stakeholders on climate risk by translating science-based information into understandable and actionable insights, circular product design, and models
- Acting in the capacity of an engagement leader, taking ownership for all aspects of engagement delivery from scoping, programme and team selection through to delivery, risk & quality management and budgetary control
Who we are looking for
- You have a passion and keen interest for climate risk and circular economy and experience in risk management and regulatory compliance
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience assessing climate risks and opportunities, conducting scenario analysis, identifying business/financial impacts of climate change, and disclosing climate-related risk according to guidelines such as the TCFD recommendations and/or advising organisations in their business strategy on circular models and ecosystems
- Bachelor or Masters in sustainability, chemistry, physics, environmental science, engineering, or another related degree is required
- Understanding of the sustainability regulatory landscape, climate change policy and as well as wider sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements
- A high aptitudefor identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the Swiss market
