Automatic selfe-cleaning screen water filters with radial swing suction-scanner technology
Introduction to Ecoklin Filters
Imagine a filtration system that combines efficiency, reliability, and innovation, designed to meet the needs of long-lasting installations. This is Ecoklin, our superior quality and reliable automatic self-cleaning filter. Born from the vision of offering an uncompromising water filtration solution, Ecoklin is the result of years of research and development conducted by a team of industry experts.
Our mission is clear: “To create a self-cleaning filter that not only guarantees excellent performance but is also easy to maintain and capable of adapting to different operating conditions.”
Thanks to its versatility, Ecoklin is suitable for a wide range of installations, with a filtration range from 20 to 2000 microns. The heart of Ecoklin is the advanced “suction scanner” technology, developed through years of research and experience. This innovative system allows for the rapid cleaning of the filter element without interrupting the water flow. Additionally, the differential pressure (Δp) control system, combined with the adaptive radial swing suction-scanner system, enables significant water recovery, removing suspended solids much more quickly and efficiently.
The filter element, optimized over the years, makes it a durable and long-lasting device, capable of operating even in particularly harsh conditions. Used in industrial plants, irrigation systems, aqueducts, and many other applications, Ecoklin has proven to be a reliable filter that, when applied correctly, frees installers from concerns about system shutdowns, lengthy, and laborious maintenance. The filter consists mainly of two elements: the Housing and the automation group integral with the 4-slot closure cover. This configuration makes the filter easy and quick to open for maintenance.
Ecoklin Filter Description
The Ecoklin filter is a self-cleaning mesh filter designed for pressurized systems. Made with high-quality materials, the filter body is standardly constructed in AISI 304 stainless steel (316L upon request). The filter element is made with a sandwich structure composed of a perforated and expanded sheet metal basket in a rhomboidal shape, in AISI 316 stainless steel, supporting the polyester filter mesh, which is in turn protected by a biplanar mesh.
Automation and Control
The automation of the Ecoklin filter is managed by a specially designed programmer that constantly monitors the differential pressure between the filter inlet and outlet. This programmer is set to automatically start the cleaning cycle when the Δp exceeds a preset threshold, optimizing the management of wash cycle frequency based on the amount of suspended solids present in the water.
Operating Principle
The water to be filtered enters the filter through the lower connection (1) and flows inside the filter element (11), passing from the inside out. Impurities are retained by the filter mesh (11), while clean water exits through the side connection (8). The filter also has a drain connection (9) to allow emptying before maintenance operations.
Cleaning Process
The cleaning of the Ecoklin filter occurs automatically thanks to the adaptive radial swing suction scanner (10) system and is activated when the differential pressure (Δp) between the filter inlet (1) and outlet (8) reaches a predefined value. The motor (4) starts, allowing the suction scanner (10) system to rotate. The opening of the drain valve (7) allows the evacuation of unwanted suspended solids.
