CLEANING OF REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM BY USING MACJAMES® MMDC-11 - MULTISURFACE
DEGREASER/CLEANER AND MACJAMES® MDSC-12 -DESCALER /SCALE CLEANER.
A simple Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, as a result of water purification processes, is fouled by sand, silt,
salts, iron, oxides, hydroxides, carbonates, organic and colloidal foulant, etc.
Many users of RO system have problems cleaning these foulants/soil from the membranes and filters.
It requires routine cleaning and maintenance using apt, non-destructive, cost-effective and innovative
alkaline and acidic cleaning surfactant and scale cleaner to keep processing pure and safe water and also
enhance the lifespan of the RO system.
If properly cleaned and maintained, your RO system could last as long as 10-15 years. Clean filters and
membranes mean pure and healthy water.

PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION:
MACJAMES® MMDC-11 - MULTISURFACE DEGREASER/CLEANER is an innovative and economical
multi-surface/multipurpose industrial-Household-Institutional degreaser/cleaner that emulsifies and
cleanses a large array of organic and inorganic dirt from various washable water-safe
surfaces/substrates (metal, plastic, wood, concrete, rubber, PVC, ceramic, leather, rugs, fabric/fibres,
etc) without deforming them or harming the health of users, unlike others mostly in use today. It is a
biodegradable surface active emulsifying, non-solvent based, non-acidic, and non-toxic foaming cleaner
formulated from organic and inorganic surfactants. It emulsifies grease, oil, rust, asphalt, heavy dirt,
carbon deposits, grime, slag, sludge, mud, scales, soot, mildew and mould, others alike, with it and
cleanses them from the various washable substrates without deforming their surfaces.
MACJAMES® MDSC-12 - DESCALER /SCALE CLEANER is an innovative biodegradable descaler
formulated and produced to dissolve and remove the toughest water scale, limescale, mud, rust, and
other mineral deposits on metal surfaces from virtually any piece of fluid operated equipment. This
innovative descaler is safe for personnel, equipment and our environment. It is non-corrosive and does
not corrode, pit, oxidize or have other damaging effects on materials as; iron, copper, fiber, rubber,
steel, plastic, brass, ceramic, glass, titanium, nickel, stainless, and other materials associated with fluidbased
equipment if used as directed. Most cleaning activities can be completed in few hours.
SIMPLE TO USE IN CLEANING REVERSE OSMOSIS (RO):
MACJAMES® MMDC-11 - MULTISURFACE DEGREASER/CLEANER:
(1). Remove/dismantle the system and stand filters vertically.
(2). Pour undiluted MACJAMES® MMDC-11 into the membranes and filters for heavy fouling or dilute as
directed for others (see quantities and ratios in Product Technical Information Sheet).
(3). Allow solution to penetrate and stay for 1 - 5 minutes.
(4). Assemble the system and close the outlet valve.
(5). Run the system and open the drain valve to flush out the emulsified foulants/soil.
(6). Keep running the system and flushing until clean water is noticed continuously.
(7). Close drain valve and open the outlet to start operation.
MACJAMES® MDSC-12 - DESCALER /SCALE CLEANER:
Where the RO are fouled with heavy and dry scale, limescale, mud, rust, and other mineral deposits,
may be due to long shutdown of operation and other reasons, it is advisable and time-efficient to use,
MACJAMES® MDSC-12 first before using MACJAMES® MMDC-11 for final cleaning .
NOTE:
a) Replace all filters every 6-9 months or maximum of 12 months.
b) Replace RO membrane every 2-3 years.
c) Clean and Sanitize the water tanks quarterly.
d) Cleanse and re-assemble the plumbing pipes at least, every 2 years.
e) Replace and buy new parts when necessary.
f) The pressure nozzle must also be checked at regular intervals.
Maintain your Reverse Osmosis system properly. The performance and quality of purification is greatly
affected by lack of maintenance and you might experience offensive taste and odor of water and low
water pressure. Low water pressure is an evident sign that your filter and membrane life is running out.
Remember, if you properly maintain your RO system, it can last as long as 10-15 years. Clean filters and
membranes mean pure and healthy water always.
