Job Responsibilities
Senior Water Resource engineer for water resource projects and tasks with local governments, DOTs/ agencies in DE, MD, DC and VA.
- Manage client relationships with Public and Private Clients
- Provide guidance and mentoring to H&H / water resource engineers for H&H (1-D and 2-D) and bridge scour analysis, E&SC, SWM, Drainage, NPDES and SWPPP, waterway permits and related projects
- Conduct peer reviews and QA/QC reviews of water resource related submissions
- Develop projects scopes of services and price proposals as required.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff
Required Attributes:
- Education: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
- Experience: 15+ years
- Management Experience: 4-7 years
- Licenses: PE - MD, DC, and VA
- Project Management Experience with MDOT SHA, DDOT, VDOT and / or DelDOT
- Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design expertise, including 2-D analysis and flood studies
- Experience with Scour Analysis and Scour Countermeasure Design for bridges and culverts
- Drainage design, SWM and ES&C expertise, including preparation of NDPES, SWPPP and steam encroachment permits
- Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions
Preferred Attributes:
- Excellent Communication Skills – both oral and written
- Experience with developing task order proposals, project scopes of work and fee estimates
