Hours of Work: 12 Hour Shifts (4 Days on - 4 Days Off; 4 Nights on - 4 Nights off)

About the role
As a Shift Process Operator you will be required to perform a range of activities including testing, routine checks, maintenance and problem solving to ensure that good quality services are delivered on time.
You will ensure that all statutory Quality & Safety Policies and Regulations are satisfied, and that all company policies are implemented and maintained to the required standard.
You will report to the Team Leader and will be fully responsible for operational control of the Process Units within the Highland contract, so as to meet each and every operating target as defined in the contract.
Your work pattern may vary from normal day work to shift work depending on business needs and participation in an out of hours’ standby rota may also be required
What you’ll do
Safely and effectively monitor the operation of the process and conditions of the plant, making adjustments of controls;
Carry out a range of routine activities to time and quality standards to ensure the smooth running of the overall process on a day to day basis;
Carry out first line maintenance lifting and unblocking pumps, equipment checks, greasing;
Ensure and maintain a superior level of aesthetics and housekeeping in and around the plant, equipment and buildings;
To draw samples and test as required ensuring the optimal running of all plant and equipment;
Record and document all process information and analysis results;
Basic data analysis of process data and SCADA trends to monitor, identify issues and act accordingly;
Ensure equipment and resources are used, maintained and replaced appropriately to meet business standards;
Adhere to health and safety procedures in order to ensure the safety of self and others and minimise risk;
Carry out duties in accordance with Health and Safety and Company Operating Procedures;
Maintain a very high standard of work, take pride and ownership of the plant, and look after the assets;
Pro-actively demonstrate and work to the Company’s values of Truth, Teamwork, Focus, Customer, Innovation, Empowerment, Measure and Deliver;
Ensuring that the Client’s concerns and issues are dealt with or relayed promptly so as to ensure the smooth running of the overall contract;
Provide an appropriate response to emergency situations whilst on shift.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
NVQ2 Wastewater Treatment or relevant experience;
Problem solving particularly in a wastewater environment or similar process related industry;
Able to make sound decisions based on technical knowledge taking into account environmental impact and other business critical issues;
Computer literacy
Full Clean Driving Licence is essential.
IOSH Working Safely or similar qualification;
Digester Safety Controller (DSC);
Confined Spaces qualification;
Permit to work systems (Issue permits and supervise work);
Risk Assessments (RA) and methods statements (MS) (Carry out dynamic risk assessments);
Lone working
Forklift license
