All you have mentioned may have potential to give water but depends on a lot of factors. eg. clay may be an aquifer if it is highly fractured and interconnected, you can get water uphill, downhill, valley etc, depending on water table and others, But in all, consult a hydrogeologist to give you information about the groundwater potential of your area of interest. It is not just looking at the surface but to understand if an aquifer exist that is capable of yielding water that meets your requirements.
