How can I calculate the amount of air required for a flotation unit with the flow rate 250 m3 per hour?
How can I best optimize my dissolved air flotation techonology?

There are other systems that can replace the DAF with better results and much less foot print

If I were you, I would ask a profesional to calculate for you. Otherwise you need to complete an engineering degree of university to be a qualified profesional.

The calculation is available online from an American company website which you should be able to bring up by entering your question.

Dear Mohammed,
the exact calculation of the required air flow rate depends on very many parameters (such as temperature, saturator pressure&efficiency, ....). Typically you use 50-100 Nl/m3 (Nl air per m3 water) as inlet air flow for the saturator - but it can vary depending on the application. In the contact zone a typical value is 5-12 ml air / l water.
Regarding performance, the hydraulics and the geometry have a large influence, also the skimmer porperties and the chemical pretreatment.
