Job Title -  Production Technician

Position Summary  - We are seeking a bright and motivated individual to work in our Florence, KY facility, starting as a Production Technician. This individual will support the manufacturing of our state of the art products. Job Description The candidate will conduct electro-mechanical assembly on a range of water, air and surface treatment products that use breakthrough UV-C LED technology, sold to a broad range of global customers. The candidate will have experience with and a sound understanding of modern product assembly techniques, coupled with strong communication skills for collaborating with and leading other production employees.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Closely follow all standard operating procedures, particularly for electro-mechanical product assembly, while ensuring form, fit and function of parts during assembly process
• Strict adherence and enforcement of health and safety procedures and guidelines
• Follow product quality standards and controls to meet quality objectives; Identify any NonConformance of parts and follow Non-Conformance guidelines
• Drive manufacturing and technical improvements into the products through use of Lean, Six Sigma and 8D methodologies
• Support Engineering and Sales teams to meet customer delivery requirements
• Travel is not expected but may be requested on a case by case basis
• Pay is hourly-based and commensurate with experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years’ experience working in electronic/mechanical product assembly and manufacturing processes
• Trade Certification or Associates Degree in a technical discipline is a plus
• Must be computer literate (PC, MS Office); ERP/MRP software experience a plus
• Mechanical skills to assemble/disassemble complex electro-mechanical systems from scratch, including soldering and solder rework ï‚·
• Experience and training with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma and/or 8D), including but not limited to Kaizen Events, Accelerated Improvement Workshops, Root Cause Corrective Actions, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Experience with water/wastewater products desired; hands-on experience a plus
• Excellent task management & organization skills
• Strong knowledge of quality systems/standards, health and safety standards and compliance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
