Adapting to change in terms of maintaining local bio-diversity is quite challenging. Bringing collective action at the community level is not an easy task. It needs a lot of effort to build trust at the community level. in a region where natural water sources are depleting, it becomes important to understand the impact of climate change on human well-being. Local communities play an important role in the adaptation process. Lot of communication outreach activities in terms of small discussions are needed to increase the awareness about the effects of climate change and the adaptation choices that these communities can make. In the aspects of water management, local communities can play a significant role by creating awareness and promoting indigenous knowledge based solutions to reduce the pressure on the state's efforts.
