The Himalayan springs are increasingly drying up and are getting seasonal, as the occurrence and movement of water in underground aquifers is not well concerned in the region. Many perennial springs in the region as a natural sources of fresh water needs recharge. There is an urgent need to augment water supply from such springs on which the hill habitations depends. Proper survey suing remote sensing and field truthing to maintain the water table aquifer is required to keep an eye on the discharge flow throughout the year.
