Loni, in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, is one of the fastest urbanizing belts in the National Capital Region. This growth, however, has come at the cost of its ecological foundations.
The Pavi Sadakpur Pond, the absence of any treatment mechanism allowed organic waste, industrial pollutants, and solid debris to accumulate into thick layers of sludge. What should have been a living waterbody became a stagnant basin of contamination. Residents of the surrounding communities described the site as unapproachable because of its persistent foul odour, constant mosquito swarms, and visibly black, frothing water.
Against this backdrop, Jalchakra Innovations LLP, in collaboration with Vaidic Srijan LLP, initiated a project rooted in Nature-based Solution. At its core was the principle of Cownomics® Technology: an in-situ, chemical-free method of reactivating native microbiota and restoring the soil–water–air cycle that sustains ecosystems.
This video is the story of this transformation, including the philosophy, purpose and process of the whole project. https://youtu.be/FUJAyxsBerg
