Algal blooms were seen to be arrested in a temple pond with approximately 5 lakh (0.5 million) litres water capacity in a small town in Karnataka. The tank water was static in the sense, it is not fed by rivulets and also not connected rivers with an outflow and is mainly rain water catchment plus maybe some ground water spring, as it is in Srirangapattana District, close to Talai Cauvery in Mandya District, where the perennial river originates. A small rivulet /stream runs through the entrance to the temple which joins Cauvery and is not connected to the temple pond.
Guruvani White was applied in a dangler. The action of arresting algal bloom was seen in one day. The algal bloom restarted when the Guruvani White dangler was removed from the pond. The tank has inactive sludge and algal bloom debri which is removed periodically manually through wicker baskets and used as mulch in the garden. The water was sweet and clear when skimmed off the surface in a white paper cup.
We have started providing this solution commercially in India. I can be contacted at rsnm151ATgmail.com for details. -
The issue you clearly describe above is multi factorial and I am afraid the solution cannot be unique and straightforwar

Hi Cliff
We have an unique and simple solution to the problem of eutrophication of waterways. We have a product to grow the native Diatom Algae present in all natural waterways. Diatoms consume the nutrients and produce Oxygen and they in turn are consumed by Zooplankton and Fish. So water becomes clean and well oxygenated with plenty of fish.
Our solution can be used in waterways of any size from Aquariums to Oceans.

United States is perhaps the best monitored nation for environmental damages and with special reference to water resources and its complex relationship with ecology and other natural resources..However with increasing levels of pollution, it is becoming costlier to tackle these water borne pollution problems. In India Swami Valmiki Sreenivasa Ayyangarya thinks that pollution can give us solutions, if we accept ancient sciences of Vedic doctrines. Sutras,Shastra, mostly written in Sanskrit language in an ancient style long forgotten, to understand its true meanings. Very elegant and cost effective solutions are available.
