Permanent or semi-permanent (MNF) Minimum Night Flow Monitoring The WETNET technology is based on an innovative new low cost flow-meter and control system that enables water companies to greatly improve their capacity to control distribution networks in detail, cutting energy costs and emissions and making better use of water resources.  www.wetnet.eu ; The WETNET sensor probes are typically installed to monitor the Minimum Night Flow (MNF) from which the data is analysed via a process of “trending” which identifies potential new leakage. Trending is undertaken by comparing the previous night’s data with current data over time, this trending enhances the ability to see new leakage and developing leaks, as well as your natural rate of rise in a system and to help determine when the most economical intervention time or period is. WETNET has been designed for flexibility, incremental deployment and size (number of sensors) scalability, co-existence and/or integration with existing measurement and control systems, including communication infrastructures. WETNET systems allow fine-grained, precise, timely data collection. They are easy to deploy, as in pipe sensors can be installed during normal operations and while the pipes are still in operation, allowing reliable installation also by non-specialized staff.  Additionally and if required WETNET configured as Software-as-a Service solution is especially attractive for small organisations that could benefit from a high degree of control on their distribution networks that would be otherwise impossible.
