Good evening dear colleagues,
I would like to know, is there a small program even a personal program that can enter the Drinking Water Supply network data (Node altitude, node flow rate, diameter… etc) automatically in the Epanet program or Watercad.
Since the data input of 1000 nodes and 1000 pipes manually; it is not profitable for our studies from a time point of view and I feel that we are far from technological progress.
I know we can do the automatic calculation by Excel, but the problem is entering the data
If there is a programmer ready to do something programmatically; he can contact me
Kind regards

  1. The positive answer is: use QGIS 3.14 or later and the plugin QWater. It will let you load data from an Excel file or a text file (comma delimited or tab delimited). In addition, QWater will let you perform all EPANET processing directly in QGIS and make very nice and useful maps and visualization of results. Using in QGIS the map of location such as Google earth map will make your results much more useful.
