Calorific value basically works on the principle of combustion/heat generation. The sludge generated will have carbon content in it and we can't reduce calorific value unless the amount of carbon is reduced. The best possible way is to send the generated sludge to a boiler/other heat generation unit, where it can be used as a source of fuel;

SOLAR Drying the sludge possibly render it for combustion with useful heat generation.

is it possible to reduce the calorific value by adding and chemicals ? especially oxidizing agent
