Cheap way to mitigate faecal matter odor?

We are working on constructing a cheap and sustainable toilet in our project area. However, one of the issues we are facing right now is odour generated at the site.
I am looking for a cheap way to eliminate or at least reduce this problem. Does anyone have any idea about possible ways which can be used for faecal matter odor mitigation?
