Request for Suggestion for Online Courses
Published on by Caroline Cheptoo in Academic
Please suggest for me online courses which leads to certifications. Preferably those that are beneficial to a water engineer working in a water utility firm, in operation and maintenance section. A course like water safety plan which is not being offered "academically" but is useful in network management.
I would be grateful if you also recommend the institution offering the course.

Hi Caroline, there are a few excellent downloadable guidelines on the development of water safety plans, such as DWI's "A Brief Guide to Drinking Water Safety Plans" and WHO/IWA "Water Safety Plan Manual" or theegood worked example of the Water Research Commission's "THE DEVELOPMENT OF A GENERIC WATER SAFETY PLAN FOR SMALL COMMUNITY WATER SUPPLY" TT415/09. These are easy to follow guidelines that do not require you to attend a course. I am sure someone can offer you a course if you struggle with the material - I have incorporated this into courses I have delivered as a single module.

Hello Caroline,
There's a very insightful MOOC Series "Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development" constituting 4 courses offered by Eawag-Sandec and EPFL at Coursera.

Hi Caroline, hope you are keeping safe and well. The courses need to be accepted by your country education establishments. Are you in Kenya? I could possibly guide you in the right direction. Look me up on LinkedIn or Google Paul Murphy leakage I am the 1st person to come up...Or on my website worldwidewaterconsultants.com
